Let's start with technology since we know that many customers want to have the most advanced equipment. The Kona can have an eight-inch or 10.25-inch touchscreen, with the larger one coming with navigation and dynamic voice recognition. Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and a pair of USB outlets are standard. SiriusXM, rear USB outlets, and wireless charging are all available. In addition to the center touchscreen, the Kona has a digital display behind its steering wheel. On the first three trims, it measures 4.2 inches, and on the Limited, it measures 10.25 inches.

The SE and SEL have cloth seats, while the N Line has sport cloth upholstery, and the Limited has leather seats. There are power-adjustable driver's seats, heated front seats, and automatic climate control on the top two trims. Most trim levels have proximity key entry with push-button start, and the N Line and Limited have the Hyundai Digital Key program. This allows a smartphone to be programmed to act as a key fob, which is so convenient when you're going off on an adventure or want to temporarily have a friend borrow your SUV. The new N Line trim has special elements, such as aluminum-alloy sport pedals and red and gloss black accents.

You'll have a choice of either a turbocharged engine or a standard one. The standard one has a displacement of two liters and can make 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque. It has been paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. The turbocharged engine is smaller than the standard one, but that turbocharger makes a difference. This upgraded engine can generate 195 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque, and it works together with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. While the turbo models are quite energetic, all of our Konas are a pleasure to drive. They handle themselves well and are available with all-wheel drive if you feel that you'd need the extra traction that AWD provides.
